About the project

To manage its services activity and increase order volumes, logistics efficiency and traceability, LEITNER opens the Oppeano site (Italy) in 2024, with the ambition of making it a showcase site for automation across the Group.

For this new addition, the Group was looking for scalable WMS functionalities, capable of absorbing ever-increasing volumes, and capable of enabling the desired automation of the new Oppeano site. The group already operated an SAP ECC6 system, so it made sense to consider the WMS functionalities offered by SAP EWM.

At the same time, HTI was interested in the possibility of using off-the-shelf solutions for the implementation of its warehouse management applications, on the one hand for rapid application deployment (vs. in-house development of FIORI applications), and on the other for saving time normally spent maintaining in-house developed applications.
